For sale a SET OF 5 old (estimate 1900s era) attractive old « good for » trade tokens once used at the old « GENT’S DEN » (BELIEVE A BILLIARD HALL BAR, SPEAKEASY, POSSIBLY SOME GAMBLING GOING ON WITH THAT NAME) supposedly these tokens were used in the towns of FERTILE, MINNESOTA……..and HARVARD NEBRASKA The town of Harvard is located in Clay County….the little town of Fertile Minnesota is located in Polk County, I know little about these tokens, except that token website shows using in 2 different small towns. I love the term « GENTS DEN »….sort of like a 1920 version of todays popular « MAN CAVE » OR GAMBLING DEN…..great stuff 🙂 These tokens are all in nice shape. I ended up with a small group of these old 5c tokens…will sell in sets of 5 on ebay « buy it now » until goneAGAIN, YOU ARE BIDDING ON 5 EACH OF THE 5C NICKEL VARIETY TOKENS, THEY WILL LOOK SIMILAR TO PICTURES YOU SEE….great for antique shops, or have a few extras for traders. Trade tokens are brass, round, about 21mm in diameter , and all display nicely. (please see pictures in gallery) These are neat old tokens Please see gallery photos, should show you all you need to know. Have this group to offer as « buy it now » lot These are really attractive old SET OF 5 TOKENS, tokens once « GOOD FOR 5c IN TRADE » from the old « GENT’S DEN (bar, billiards, speakeasy, possibly gambling going on ??) »….sounds like a gentleman’s club or what we might call a « man cave » today , but who knows…located supposedly in FERTILE, NEBRASKA…..and……..HARVARD, NEBRASKA five old tokens for one price.
